Our academy program has been developed in line with the United States Youth SoccerAssociation (USYSA) long term player development model (LTPD). This model is built around4 pillars, psychological, physical, technical and tactical development. The first 3 areparticularly relevant to the academy age group, U6 - U10 with the tactical pillar being moreappropriate to players above this age. We have also introduced a further pillar based ontheir social experience. The focus of the academy is to provide a fun, enjoyable andunpressured environment for the children to play and flourish, not as players but as people.
It is important to realise that the players are children and not young adults. They do notshare the same thoughts, they are not physically the same and their perception of life iscompletely different. With this in mind the programme has been designed to cater foryoung children and their expectations of a game.
